![]() The game has warned me that its not optimised for my native resolution, but it still let me choose it and didnt specify in what capacity it is unoptimised. The solution if you have AMD notebook with discrete GPU; Navigate to FEAR Ultimate Shooter folder and deselect Read Only. In CCC make sure force power saving graphics is selected for Battery Mode. CCC switchable graphics FEAR application setting should still be set for maximum performance. After the game as started plug in the cord for extra performance. Your power profile and settings in catalyst control should be set to maximise performance even on battery. Not ideal as a lower resolution is required for the frame rates and there are borders left and right but the game runs. At first its perfect, a few minutes into the game, just when I start to get excited, it lags worse than when I play crysis 3. Have you tried turning down the settings Running it at lower resolution I run it on my W10 laptop and it runs sweet, even when recording. But mine is a gaming laptop, I7, 8gb ram, dedicated graphics Nvidia mobility 970 I think. But that said, have you tried running it in compatibility mode, it was made for Windows XP. I mean, it launches, but I get too many lock-ups, with the last displayed image still on-screen or stuck at black transitionary screens. I had three problems similar to this while changing options and applying them. As an aside, I found it strange that all the hardware sound options are greyed-out and unavailable, since my dedicated sound card supports them all and much more Auto-Saves often lock up. I had two: The first went to the load screen but hung, the second went straight to a hung black screen, bypassing any load indicator placeholder screen. Ive checked integrity, since I always have to invoke CtrlAltDel and Sign Out, as my Desktop - although seemingly accessible - is not. Although the TaskBar shows with its open applications, when hovering, their boundary boxes highlight their apparent location on screen, but moving from the TaskBar just shows the Desktop as empty. This goes for TaskMan too, which is why Im forced to invoke a Sign Out. Ive tried messing with my ATi screen Scaling options - to no avail. Ive tried disabling Steam Overlay - also seemingly not the issue.
